Agricultural land redevelopment and agricultural product development projects
Aging farmers. Shortage of farmers. Increased abandonment of farmland. In order to solve the current problems surrounding agriculture, we are redeveloping and managing farmland in Tendo City, Kaminoyama City, and other areas in Yamagata. Farmland, the foundation of agricultural production, is a limited resource for the future. However, the current area of farmland is in a state of decline due to its destruction by conversion and abandonment. Abandoned farmland not only has a negative impact on farming, but also poses a major challenge to the living environment for local residents, such as increased outbreaks of pests and insects and damage from birds and animals, impediments to farmland use accumulation, illegal dumping of waste materials, and deterioration of the landscape. In addition to redevelopment of farmland in Yamagata and efforts to reduce abandoned farmland through in-house management of farmland, Naruhana Farm is also developing a support business for 6th industrialization and product development to process and sell primary agricultural products in an effort to increase the number of new farmers who wish to become farmers. In addition to our approach to solving the physical problems of farmland use, we continue to take on the challenge of realizing the potential of agricultural business and encouraging the next generation of farmers to become farmers.

Yamagata Agricultural Products Product Development Project
Sixth industrialization refers to the process of increasing the income (income) of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries workers (primary industry) by further enhancing the original value of their agricultural products. In order to increase the value of their products, the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries industry is to be revitalized and the economy enriched through food processing (secondary industry) and distribution and sales (tertiary industry), in addition to production. Even if farmers here in Yamagata understand the concept of 6th industrialization, they still face a number of challenges in terms of skills and experience in order to actually put it into practice. At Naruhana Farm, we can help with product ideas, collaboration with secondary and tertiary industries, and product policy, and we can help farmers in Yamagata put their 6th industrialization ideas into practice. We will show the potential of agricultural business as well as the realization of the objective of 6th industrialization, which is to enrich the economy by operating agriculture in Yamagata. In addition, by collaborating with local Yamagata businesses in the secondary and tertiary industries, we are continuing our efforts to energize Yamagata's industries beyond tier 6 industrialization.
